Reconciliation
This is the Sacrament in which sins committed after Baptism are forgiven. It results in reconciliation with God and the Church. (US Catholic Catechism for Adults, Glossary)
"God so loved the world He gave us His only begotten Son" as our Savior and Redeemer. In Jesus Christ God is constantly seeking us out as prodigal sons and daughters. We are by God's revealed word 'loved sinners' who should heed the call of our heavenly Daddy (ABBA); "Come back to me with all your heart".
God in Jesus Christ yearns for our friendship, and longs to forgive us of that which separates us from His love and friendship - our sins.
